Unhappy Yaris 2006/56 brake calliper bolt size please

Hi folks, I need the size or info about the front brake calliper bolts or nuts on the Toyota Yaris T3 2006/56 1.0L.

I am trying to change the pads for my daughter (I have done this a few times in my life with other cars).

The problem is that although it feels like I am getting the socket (12 mm) onto the hex head, the bolts are not moving out.

The ratchet is ratchting but, this may just be against the friction of the rubber boot around the hex. I can't see because of the rubber boot.

Any ideas? Can the size of the bolt or not be confirmed please. Maybe I just need to give the socket a bit of a smack to get it on properly.

Thanks.

Brake calliper bolt size [SOLVED] - what a laugh...

They are 7 mm Allen bolts.

And after all that I find I didn't have to change trhem as there was still about 5 mm left. I believe the spec is 1 mm and the dealer service centre told my daughter they were 90 to 95% worn. They are now going to be reported to the Office of Fair Trading.
Unfortunately, without an independent mechanic being present to immediately inspect them after coming out of the dealer's service centre I can go no further than this.

With enough complaints against them though, the Office of Fair Trading will investigate.

Fingers crossed it won't hurt the pocket of too many people that can't afford unnecessary expense.
