Need to talk to people who have lowered their echo's

Hey everyone
I am giving my Echo to my girlfriend and was completely confident in it until tonight.
I was driving home on the highway in high winds and it was pulling me really hard, would have lost it if I didnt have a good understanding of how to handle a vehicle.

No fault of the car, its light, but I know she wouldnt have fared so well most likely.

I still love the car to death, its amazing at what it does (still the best HP to weight ratio even compared to new cars in its class right?) certainly way better than the mazda 2 i test drove recently!

I am wondering if any of you have lowered yours and found that to reduce the wind buffeting. The springs are cheap, they look good so why not if it helps

That is the speed the wind started pulling it at.
Its not a huge deal to me and has only happened twice (happened today too) in the year I have owned it. But it only takes once for a non experienced driver so Im worried

I have no issues with mine in wind or passing trucks. So if you're concerned lower it.
