Hi from Canada- My 04 Echo RS Hatch

Hi everyone,
I thought I'd show everyone my new ride. It's a 2004 Echo RS hatch. I work in service at a Toyota Dealer so I knew how bulletproof these cars are (I have a customer with over 700000 KM's on her Echo) and had been keeping an eye out for a nice one. I wanted a stick however my wife doesn't like a manual so I had to hold out for an auto. About two weeks ago a customer traded in this Echo for a new Matrix. It has 66000 original KM's and is truly like new. The RS has the upgraded seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter, rear spoiler rocker trim, rear spoiler and aluminum wheels. This one also has power locks, AC and a JVC stereo that we installed when the car was new
. I'm on the hunt for the Borla center exit exhaust (discontinued at Toyota) and I plan to install cruise control. I love this car and I got 615kms on my first tank of gas. Sorry for the photo quality. I'll have to take some better shots.

Thanks
Todd

Thanks. I don't know why they weren't available in the U.S. Toyota would have sold a pile of them.

It's, supposedly, a long held perception that the US market does not like hatchbacks.

PS: Right now, I've not even picked-up my 2003 Echo. That comes tomorrow!

Very nice! Congrats on the purchase. My Dad owns a Vitz RS too, except his is a 2001 model. He's actually got some pics posted here. I'm sure it'll give you many years of trouble-free motoring

Must be a fun little car to drive in and around the city.

I love Echo RS hatches.

I paid $6200 for it. The RS seem a bit more $$ than a standard Echo however I like the seats in the RS better. The extra trim and aluminum wheels are nice too. The paint is original. There are some small stone chips on the hood that were touched up. It has 66000 kms on it. It's almost a shame I have to drive it in the snow.
A silver 2004 RS came in to work today for service. Original lady owner, 40000 orig kms! 5 speed too! I'd love to own it but I don't foresee the owner selling anytime soon.

Search Kijiji.ca - London, Ontario . There's a used car dealer called London Truck. He had 3 or 4 of them last time I checked.
As for snows, they are already on- Gislaved's from Sweden.
