Canada Where can I find good winter wiper blades in New Brunswick for 2003 Toyota Echo?

I'm looking for a very good pair of winter wiper blades for my 2003 Toyota Echo and would like to know where I can pick up a set in New Brunswick (22" driver + 14" passenger).

Costco has a 22" Michelin winter wiper blade but not the 14". In fact, a lot of places will carry the 22" but not the 14".

Canadian Tire does not seem to carry very good quality wiper blades.

Appreciate the help. Thanks.

I know what you mean. I like the reflex single piece style, but I can't get one that short anymore. I'm thinking of cutting one down to fit. In the meantime, the Bosch metal framed one works ok.

Walmart. The bigger stores carry like 10 different brands of wiper blades, everything from your $3 cheapos to the $17-a-piece Rain-X Radial blades. They also carry every size from 12" to 28"

Trico makes a 14" "Neoform Beam Blade" in the one-piece style. Had them on my Echo for about 6 months- so far, so good.

Thanks for the feedback.

Since I needed a set of dedicated winter wiper blades to deal with heavy snowfalls in New Brunswick, I ended up buying Trico Winter Blades (22" Driver Side - Product # 37-225 and 13" Passenger Side - Product # 37-131).

Picked them up on sale at the local Napa store where they were repackaged and sold as Napa Winter Edge Winter Wiper Blades (the 22" Driver Side bears Product # 60-2257-5 and the 13" Passenger Side is listed as Product # 60-1357). Sale price excluding taxes for the 22" is $20.69 (Regular : $32.69). Sale price excluding taxes for the 13" is $16.19 (Regular : $25.60). Sale ends Dec 31, 2010.

The only other choice available to me was to go to the dealership and pick up their winter wiper blades as a set.

The Trico blades are on my car now. Visibility in the winter is going to be much better with these wiper blades than with my all-season wipers.

EmeraldIsle,

In what way are these 'winter blades' specialized for snow removal? Won't they work just as well on rain?
And, BTW, what did the whole thing cost you?

Thanks.

As per

http://www.ehow.com/facts_7570867_wi...er-blades.html

"Winter wiper blades are specially built to withstand snow and ice. In colder conditions, regular [all-season] blades can acquire a buildup of ice chips or frozen snow inside and around the blade. The result is often streaks on your windshield and decreased vision. Winter wiper blades have a rubber or vinyl wrapping around the blade, blocking ice and snow from entering between the metal arms of the wiper.

All-season wiper blades are made to clear water, snow and ice away from a windshield. They are usually built with multiple or reinforced rubber blades to help handle any and all elements. They do not, however, have the rubber or vinyl wrapping of winter wiper blades.

... if you live in a region where heavy snow and ice are common, spending the extra money to equip your vehicle with winter blades means you'll have a safer ride (i.e. better visibility)."

Total paid for the set was $41.67 including taxes (see previous post for individual sale prices).

I'll be switching to all-season wipers in the spring.
