In desperate need of oil control valve

Does anyone have one for sale? It's for a 2002 echo, 1.5. I'm sure it's the same as the 1.5 Yaris. In the mean time is it safe to drive? I actually just broke the connector when tightening the alternator belt. If anyone has one let me know, I really really need this. Thanks.

Remember reading on Echo Drivers forum that someone had theirs disconnected and were still driving their Echo for quite a while. If it's just the wiring harness, can you joint and solder broken wires?

Sorry don't have one for sale, but check some auto recycling parts places. Is location Sudbury, Ontario, Canada? You may be able to find one online at Dom's auto parts in Courtice, ON (for shipping) or other parts places in GTA.

I wasn't sure about driving it. I wasn't sure if the oil is used for pressure, like a hydraulic system or for lubrication, so I don't want to risk driving it much. I wish I could solder the wires, they are pretty much the finest gauge in existance, embedded in thick hard plastic...

I just tried calling Dom's, he's convinced me no one will take that out at any salvage yard... I can find the part on eBay for ~$50 but he won't ship it to Canada. As of now, my only alternative (until I find something online) is my local dealership which wants $320 + tax!!

If anyone comes up with something, let me know.
