Fuel injection problems?

I have a 93 tercel and i just did a complete rebuild on it because i had to replace the piston rings. I got it all back together and it was running, but only firing on three cylinders. I drove it around a bit, parked it for the night, and the next day is went to hell.

Now i start it up, it fires on four, then three, then two cylinders, then shuts off. The spark plugs are fouled by gas and the only way to get it to even start up again is to clean the plugs, but then they get fouled right away again.

I rebuilt the intake manifold, messed around with the throttle body, and everything in that area seems cool. Im thinking it must be something with the injection system. The injectors are working, i believe, but im not real keen on fuel injection systems.

Please help, any advice is welcome.

Are you sure the problem is fuel and not ignition? To answer your question, the ideal tool to check fuel injectors is an O-scope. An Ohm meter can be used to check resistance(cold), and should be 13.8Ohms. It sounds like your get'n fuel but not the spark needed to ignite it.

look into the coil and the igniter of the distributor system. my engine wasnt firing in cylinder 3 last week on the freeway then it shut off on me..after paying 40$ to have it towed, i look at the new coil that was installed, and notcie that the positve and negaitve tightening bolts were loose. one was already loosened, the other could be loosened by hand.
