Car Washes

So my little Yaris paint looks nice. I know my last car I ran through car washes alot and noticed swirls in the paint, guessing fromt eh automatic car wash places.

So I bought the bucket, sponges ect and was going to have my girls wash this car. We got to the car wash place in my apat complex and it's not working. Grrr...

So my choices are a do it yourself car wash or going back through the automactic car washes. there is a touchless automactic wash at Chevron but last time I used it it never got the dirt off.

Are the swirls that bad? can they be buffed out at a later date? I just dont like the DIY places. Been there done that ran a few people off in my time. LOL

I always use the touch free car washes. But just like you say they do not get all of the dirt off. I only use the car washes to get the major stuff off. But to do a good job it has to be done by hand. Or take it to a car cleaning place.

I have gone to few touchless wash places, as said they dont get all the dirt off. I do it by hand now if possible.

At one touchless wash it was so strong it actually blew the plastic stripping above the doors/roof out so it popped out. I drove around until i got to work and when i got out of the car noticed roller coaster looking track on my roof lol.

An outside wash at a hand car wash usually isn't much more than the touch free ones, maybe 10 -15 dollars.

LOL...I went to a 76 station that had the touch-less and I was used to the place having all the brushes. I was disappointed that I didn't get the usual song and dance from the brushes.

I'm going to with Steve. A lot of the hand wash places have as their cheapest service a basic hand wash at under 20 bucks.

Well the hand wash place is decent at 15$ however they were packed and I dont have an hour to wait or I would have. So I opted for the 5$ auto wash, not touchless. Seems I excaped swirl free on this one. The BF waxed it when I got home also.

We will see what happens next time..
