2000 echo front end grinding

hi I am new to your forum and currently am looking for some insight into a problem I am having.. I have a 2000 Toyota echo with 142k miles and just recently have been having a grinding noise from the left front. I disassembled the brakes, and rotor but cannot find any reason for the noise. The rotors and pads were replaced in the fall and show no abnormal wear. Both sides about 80%. The noise started about two weeks ago. I drive 90 miles a day and except for the noise the car handles well. I even tried different tires and wheels I have and the result is the same. The bearing end play at the rotor seem to be in spec. Any enthusiasts ever experience this problem?

thanks

I moved your thread to the proper forum. I'm sure one of our friendly members here will offer a suggestion as to what the problem is soon.

I know this question has been posted a while ago, but the questions above might help you diagnose a bearing that is wearing out. They can get pretty loud

Mine had a little growl on the front RHS that turned out to be a blown wheel bearing. I could feel a bit of play when I raised that corner and reefed on the wheel back and forth top to bottom and side to side. The other side was tight, zero play detectable. 2005RS got his done recently and I wrestled it out myself, so you're in the right place for advice.
