2000 Toyota Echo Problems

Wasn't sure where to put this since I didnt see an Echo forum, if this isn't the right place, please show me where to post, thanks!

So I'm working on my girlfriends '00 Echo. It had a check engine light on that was code 171, running lean. My first thought was to clean the MAF sensor (I had to do this for her about a year and a half ago too, and it worked). So I did that, and reset the computer, the code went away.

Now it idles fine, and drives in reverse just fine, but in drive it boggs down, acting like its stuck in overdrive, and it wont rev up, or go over about 5-10 mph. There are no codes to pull, and I am completely lost. Anybody have any ideas on where to start?

Thanks!

Sounds like it could be fuel pressure issue. It could be a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.
