'99 Vitz Pod filter upgrade help

Ive got a '99 Vitz and i've already done the exhaust (sounds great) now im thinking about upgrading the air filter to a K&N Pod filter or something similar.
Does anyone have pics of what they have done?
I'm trying to get the best airflow so will probably have to pipe cold air in so i'm considering using some flexible ducting.

I'll see if I have a pic of my aem cai on my echo. It puts the filter further back into the engine bay, so I doubt it supplies colder intake air.
You probably want to use the part of the stock intake where the maf is screwed on. I'd go with smooth pipe for less turbulance.
