Question going to have to swap the tranny in my 01 echo

Well my little echo got some bad bearing in her MT, I found a MT from a 97 paseo cheap and very low miles same C150, but I got some conflicting data on wiki and some other sites about different gear ratios, I should just be able to swap bell housings right? I just want a definite yes or no

Only a transmission from an 00-05 Echo will work. I have double checked with my buddy who works at a salvage yard. The only difference will be gear ratios for the 03-05 model years as they were available with 15" wheels. I would try to get a transmission from a vehicle with the same tire size.

The salvage guy was only going by his interchange on what will fit directly. I guess with modification there maybe other trannys that fit.
