Echo A/C common issue?
Hi guys,
I am looking for a Toyota Echo for my gf for cheap insurance and maintenance. Also, she's going to get used to driving and attempt to pass her final driving test.
Looked on the market for the past month or so and found two that fit the price point.
Both cars that I am interested in seem to have two different versions of A/C problem.
Car 1(2001 with 142k miles):
Owner says A/C doesn't work anymore, he tried replacing the compressor and I assume a recharge of freon and it only lasted a few days. This looks to be a leak for me.
Car 2(2003 with 142K miles):
A/C works when initially turned on, but does not stay cold. Can this be fixed by a simple recharge of freon?
Any input would be helpful. Thanks!
