Why wont my fan blower work?

Hello

I have a diesel Yaris, and until I took it in for a service, to a dodging car place, my car ran like a dream.

I have already replaced the heater resistor, and strangley it occassionaly turns on, than dies again.

Any hints would be appreciated, have tried to price a new motor for it and have the prices have ranged from £16-50 used or £248 new, from a dealership.

Also would anyone know where I could find a diesel service manual for a 2002 Yaris?
