Yaris runs sluggish and check engine light comes on...

I just dropped off my car at the dealership for the 3rd or 4th time. I can't remember how many times this has happened.

one time they fixed the gas pedal... fuse or sensor???

one time they replaced the car's computer..??

i forget what they fixed the other time.

This happens when i'm stopped and start to pull out into traffic. I'm sure they'll call in a few hours and tell me its fixed again. But this brings me to the reason for this post.

I don't believe them anymore.

Does anyone know what this might be?

I hit the gas pedal and it runs like i'm dragging Paul Bunyan around. Everytime they fix it... it works great. but this last time it was only about 600 miles since it was in the shop the last time.

i love this car. i really do. its exactly what i need. but when i have my son in the car seat and it happens in the middle of an intersection... that is not good. I have no confidence in this car. I bought a toyota so i wouldn't have to answer the question, "Dude... what's up with your car?"

I hate answering that question.

i wonder if this is a recall???

I feel your pain - I will be taking mine in to see what is going on as I am experiencing the same thing with mine. (2008/Manual Transmission). Very good description of what I am going through. Any suggestions? What am I in for at the dealer?
