Cleaning a plastic interior

I used meguiars natural shine on my echo but it came out blotchy. Why does it look so different on this car?

Apply wax and grease remover to the dash first (following instructions on can of course). Then reapply your Meguairs, sounds like you had a chemical reaction with some of the old dash protectants residue (ie. armor all) .
Good luck.

For wax and grease remover? Dupont. For the cleaning and protecting products I'm with you, Meguiars is my favorite all around. They have a "quik detailer" i think its called, the stuff works amazing inside and out.

I don't think we have any DuPont stuff. What about diluted dawn or tide?

I just realized I answered your fog light question to haha. Try vinegar and warm water instead. I'm not big on clothes detergents being used. However if the Dawn is dish detergent stuff, it should work. I can only vouch for vinegar and water so far. It strips everything off the plastic and lightly etches it for the meguiars to go down on evenly.
