Install block heater on Echo 2003

I need help to find the hole where the block heater installs on my echo 2003.

i think that the arrow points to the area where the heater is installed. But i ' m not sure. There is not space to work and it will be quite impossible to insert heater there.

Hi iznogoud, welcome to the forum.

I've not done it myself (but will need to shortly), but most of what I've read says that it's much easier on an Echo with an auto, than with the manual. This is because the shift linkages run right by where the block-heater inserts into the engine block.

I think mine was kinda dead from when I bought the car (12 months ago), but having a new battery last winter meant not needing to plug the car in.
However, I'm going to get it done - one of these days - to enjoy much shorter warm-up times.
