2010 Yaris S traction control button

I have a 2010 Yaris S hb. it has every option except an automatic transmission. where the owner's manual says the TRAC OFF switch should be, there is a Toyota security system plate (a glass breakage sensor?). the other three knockout plates are filled with iPod connection, aux port, and door lock/unlock switch.
How do I turn off VSC and Traction Control without puling the ABS fuse?

Found this on another site, but I think the guy was from Australia or somewhere:
1. Push the clutch pedal
2. Pull the handbrake (hold it)
3. Start engine
4. 2x foot break (at the second hold the break)
5. Handbrake: open - pull - open - pull
6. again 2x foot brake, but this time do NOT hold it)

Then should turn on the VSC and TRC lights.

can anyone confirm or deny for US models?

Not really sure what Toyota's thinking is. We have 2 '10 Yaris in the family...a liftback and a sedan...both autos with the power packs. The sedan as the button the center console to defeat the TC. The liftback does not. I have no idea why.
