I blew something in the electrical system.

I was probing the defrost switch with a multimeter in my echo to install a remote starter. my hand slipped, I bridged 2 pins in the switch, heard a click, and now climate control is dead. Also, I can't shift out of park. The click I normally hear when the brake pedal is pressed is gone. Everything else works fine.

I heard a click from the fuse box inside the car, but all the fuses check out fine. What exactly did manage to kill?

EDIT: It was the gauge fuse. Ignore this. I feel dumb.
