Stupid side mirrors!

I'm going insane having to constantly readjust bumped side mirrors. Is there a way to replace the leverless mirrors with something that can be controlled inside the car? Driving an 2003 echo.

I have an 03 ECHO too. And I have the same very basic set up. While it has some advantages I totally know how you feel and how frustrating it is. Its harder to get the passenger mirror right (for me) when its bumped. Its annoying, I have to constantly adjust it then sit back and see if it works. I know the higher trimed ECHO's had power or inside adjustable mirrors. I don't know if it would be worth the cost. or you can go aftermarket.

Just be lucky you don't have TWO drivers! I have never had anyone 'bump' my mirrors ... I guess I try to park away from busy parking lots... yeah I'd rather walk a few minutes than get a spot right up front. I also am not anal about the mirrors because I find if they are not so direct and you got to move your head a little to see out of them the better for night time blinding head lights. I make it habit to always turn my head first anyway to check for blind spots before I rely on a mirror.

Totally with you. I always or 99.9% of the time I look at my blind spot. There are times where I thought I was good and I looked and bam! a car was there and I'm like, I'm glad I looked before I moved over. But the mirrors are nice. I don't mind adjusting the drivers side, its the passenger side I hate.

^^Mine doesn't at least. Its very basic. You have to roll down the window (if adjusting from inside) to adjust the whole mirror housing to where you want it. Yeah, very cost cutting, basic of the very basic. It depends what options or trim you got on the ECHO. I have the 2-door and that was considered the base model of the two. Where's the 4 door you get more stuff or options.

What year do you have?

I wonder if these are interchangeable? Mine too are the basic adjust from the outside. I think that the only one you'd really want to change would be the passenger side. I doubt I'd swap mine out tho. However I am looking for an intermittent windsheld wiper switch that should be a standard on any car...

Oh, I see. Thats very cheap of Toyota!
I have a 2005 4 door

The simple solution would be to go to the wreckers and pick up a side mirror. I 'm confident they are interchangeable but you'll have to compare for youself (it would have cost Toyota more to produce 2 types of mirrors rather than use 1 type)

For intermittent wipers:
all you need is the wiper switch/stalk from "03 to 07 Corollas, Camrys or Matix"
Intermittent Wipers

Thanks, and I know that I was searching around, Also you can add Pontiac Vibe to that list.

I find it funny I have an '01 echo, but the part that is interchangeable on the corolla / matrix has to be '03! I looked at the 01-02 year and the pins are different. I just find it strange! I dunno anyone know what the time is just for one intermittent setting? Probably 4 seconds. I like the ones that have a slider for setting 2/4/8/10 second intervals. If you gonna get one might as well get a good one. I think the 2 second would be too fast also I always end up using 8 seconds seems to be a worth while other wise you might as well just have the wipers on IMO.
