why is my car still shake funny when i turn it on for the 1st time after a long period of hours? its got a new fuel filter and new plugs and i just changed the oil and it has gas in it.. so what else is there?

Oddly enough all the things you mentioned could in pretty much no way have any effect on your problem.


However, after siting for a long period of time, the oil in the engine cools. Cool oil becomes thicker( the oil also settles into the bottom of the engine). When you start up your engine, your engine has a small lack of oil. That will cause rougher running.

And even once the engine has oil, it is still thicker then what would be best, so it runs a little rougher.


It may also be due to wearing engine mounts

The shake im not sure it could be a bunch of stuff but i have wondered why my tercel and others have that slow start and i heard it was the shitty carb but anyways i wouldn't worry about it (shaking) as long as it goes away as it warms up.
