2001 Echo Engine Ping

I've got a 2001 Echo with over 45000 miles on it. Do mostly city driving. It has started to ping during light engine loading (during light acceleration). I took the car to the dealer and they ran some 3M fuel additive for carbon build-up. It helped alittle bit, but still get the engine ping or knock. I took it a second time and the dealer replaced the engine knock sensor. Still the same problem. I'm running Techron fuel additive this month with mid-grade fuel to see if it will rid the cylinders and valves of any carbon build up.

Any other suggestions or advice for cleaning this up???

use a full spray bottle of water in through the intake while keeping the revs up... don't put too much water in at once, because of obvious reasons...

you'll see it blow black smoke out of the exhaust and it should break everything up.
