Check Engine Light

I know theres probably not a resolute answer but my c.e.l. went off and it was a code 71 for the egr valve i replaced that and the gas temp. sensor, and their according gaskets. I also did a 300 dollar tune up and replaced every filter you can think of and all fluids, all that good stuff, point is the car runs so much better but that c.e.l. is still on and it bugs me i looked into it and there is something called a bi-metal vaccuum switching valve i know nothing about this so im not sure what to do. Every member of my family has had this car and they all say the light would come on and off so should i disregard it or what?

btw its a 3e carb. cali model

Buy 2 cans of seafoam from o'reilly and pour one into gas tank and another into carb. It will clean up the carbon remains and probably solve ur c.e.l

costs only $8 or so for 2 cans ...worth a try.
