I'm not sure but the '85 might have an "a" series engine which would be easier to put a 4AGE in.
Anyways, there's a guy up in Montreal by the name of Charles, works at CP Performance who is finishing up a 4AGE into Tercel swap right now, do some searching in the Toyota section of
www.montrealracing.com/forum/ and you'll find him, he's a pretty nice guy and will likely help you out.
That silvertop Tercel is really nice and a killer deal at $2500 for everything, is there anything wrong with it? Why are you selling it?
Anyways, either way, with any Toyota engine swap, you need custom wiring. I'm doing a Tercel 4EFTE engine swap in the next couple of weeks and after that I'll probably start making custom harnesses for people. If you don't want to wait then talk to Trevor at BYP in Florida, I think his website is
www.backyardproductions.com or something like that. It'll cost you a pretty penny though.

I'll do it a lot cheaper once I do one myself.
Or, just come up to my shop and I'll do the whole swap for you.
Other than that, the 4EFTE will bolt right in, you just need to do the wiring and figure out what to do with the intercooler (either make a hood scoop or install a FMIC). For a 4AGE, you'll need custom engine mounts and axles, the rest is pretty much the same, and of course no intercooler to worry about.
Hope that helps.
