New drive axles = alignment?

I just replaced both my drive axles. My steering wheel is rotated to the Rt about 3 degrees when I'm driving straight, whereas before it was straight when driving straight. When I let go of the steering wheel the cars veers Lt. but not by much. So, is it customary to need a front-end alignment after replacing drive axles?

I'd have yours looked at. Nothing that has to come off would change the steering wheel setting though.

Depends on what you took apart to replace them :P

I would get one. If you replaced the 2 front axles you had to dismantle pretty much the front suspension, right? Any little minute differences in re-assembly may throw off alignment. Get one, they are relatively cheap, and it may save your tires too in the long run. If you say the car is veering and the steering wheel is not straight anymore...something happend (unless you are driving on a groved surface or something, then sometimes pulling to one side is normal).
