USA MPG on 2000- 2003 echo, PLEASE HELP !

Hi guys !!

I'm seriously considering to buy a used toyota echo in the 2000- 2003 range
What is the actual mileage you get on your Echos ???

I've read great things about it but it's hard to understand what can be trusted
and what cannot...

Also, did you have any significant problem with your Echos ????
I really like the car but i want some real owner's onpinions, not the same salesman crap.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

mpg

I just recently purchased a 2000 Echo from my 80 yr aunt. First fill-up I recorded 42 mpg with an automatic trans. Very Happy!

Hi - I have a 2000 echo, with an automatic Trans.
I get a combined 36-38 MPG
Highway mileage routinely exceeds 40MPG
Hope this helps

I purchased my 2000 Toyota Echo Sedan (Manual Trans) brand new in December of '99, and I've averaged 39 MPG over the life of the car. Low MPG was trying to get home in a blizzard in stop and go traffic, and that was 31MPG. Hi MPG was coming out of the mountains from a company retreat and coasting all the way home (almost). That was 48MPG. I do mostly highway driving, but hardly ever get under 38MPG or over 42MPG week to week.

Hope that helps...
