05 Echohatchback funny noise

Hi there,

I have an 05 Echo hatchback with 4000kms and it is 3 months new.(old)
Few days ago, i noticed that with the hatchback up, it makes this very fast ticking sound.(sounds like opening an old squeaky wooden door slowly) So I looked everywhere to see where it is coming from. And I see this crack at the right side hatchback door hinge. I don't know it's the paint cracking or the welding part that's cracking. I booked an appointment with the dealer on Tue May.17/05 to check it out. Just wondering if anyone has the same problem?
I put a piece of scotch tape over the crack from water going in, and I can see the tape moving
quite a bit when moving the hatch up & down.
