I was wondering if it was at all possible to swap the gauge cluster from a 02 with one that comes with a tach (eg. '05 Echo hatch)? I'dd really like a tach in my Echo but I don't want a 5" chrome paper weight. Please help.

The entire harness and plug is different between the tach and non tach clusters. It could be done, but would involve splicing all of the cluster wires and routing the tach signal to the cluster. I looked into a swap for my 04 hatch from an 05, and talked about it with a Toyota parts specialist, and a Toyota rep responsible for the Echo Hatch launch in Canada, and they both said a straight swap is not possible.
