So I'm driving back to Guelph this morning from Oakville, on Trafalger... when this black CE pulls up behind me. We exchange these little head nods through my rearview mirror and proceed to hug each other on the road to make it more obvious to people that we're siblings. We get to about Ninth Line and this yellow RS turns into our lane. Imagine how cheesy we were being on the road, us three echos... completely unprecedented... okay so that's it right? WRONG. The three of us are driving along 401 west, when we meet up with this silver LE. The black CE gets off at 312, but there's still three of us all the way up to 295. So I get off at 295 sort of chuckling to myself at how cheesy us TN drivers are, when I meet up with a red CE on hwy 6 north. Alls I have to say is that it was one of the most interesting drives to Guelph ever. There are TONS of echo drivers in Guelph! I want to meet that guy that gave me the cheesy head nod!

Yeah, the younger Echo drivers will usually exchange nods or even wave, like another day I was waved at by 2 guys in a red 4-dr HB in the adjacent lane.
So what's up with you driving around Oakville (MY TURF WHAHAHA)? Gimme a shout when you just wanna drive, there's no fun road in Oakville, but there certainly are some in Brampton (crazy twisties and elevation changes).
Later,
EchoHoLiK
PS: how fast were you (and the other Echos) driving? I would have stepped on it and others won't be able to or wanna catch up if I happened to be in the Echo-train

The Forks are a great area to drive..but the cops know about it...so they're there's quite a bit. Almost understeered off a cliff when I was there my first time!
^^^ very tricky still especially in the wet with all-season tires
yeah, the cops of course. But even going moderately fast there is plenty fun, plus the views are just absolutely beautiful. It gets more interesting at night, but hard to see things clearly due to low light, although the best thing about nighttime is the lack of cars on those roads.
The EchoHB is built for roads like these (well it's not "built" for roads like these, but it's very well suited)
Yea for sure the younger drivers will give some recognition, this one asian guy was my twin and when I gave him and his girl a big wave downtown in a parking lot, he laughed out loud and gave me the "goo-wak-jai" equivalent of "peace"... which is like... "yo, peace, yo."
The head nod I find goes a long way... that way, you don't have to look stupid doing the big wave, and yet you still let the person know that you're there... no props to the girls in Guelph that NEVER respond to the headnod, NEVER respond to me driving all around them trying to get attention =Þ
And to answer the questions: yes, it was the mustard... the millenium gold that looks too mustardy in dark light... thus my reference to yellow... and I'm in Oakville at least once every week visiting my boyfriend.
We all remember... from the last Toronto meet... remember someone asked me, "Aren't you that girl whose boyfriend also has an echo?" and when I said no, someone said "Would you like to be?" To this day, I still give props for that. =D
How come all I see driving Echos are middle aged to older individuals? Waving to them would be weird, and them waving back would even be more weird. The place I get the most waves from is on the track when I get passed by more powerful cars on the straights.
My first time at the forks was at night in the rain. It's too far for such a short ride. Old finch is much longer.
Oh, BTW, Echo meet this weekend. I'll post it separately.

Old Finch isn't as fun as the forks. It's really just driving through old ghost stories and seeing where they shot parts of Urban Legends.
The Forks has a bunch of places close to it that are fun to drive...too bad me and the girl that took me to those twisty roads aren't speaking anymore.... I can't remember how to find the other twisties.
haha.. funny.. Most of the AE92 drivers I know.. I know from from TN anyways.. lol but I do get nodded once a while by other AE92 drivers I don't know.. I mean this car is rare to see here In oshawa, out of all the ones down here I know of.. 2 are owned by me and one is about 2km down the street from me.. haha 3 red ones on the same street.
What's with girls and Echos anyways? That's what my girlfriend wants, either a blue or millenium gold Echo.. I'm teaching her to drive standard right now, she knows I would never buy automatics so now she's on a mission to learn. She did pretty good and didn't stall on the first try, and didn't burn the clutch bad either.

Echo hatches are SO CUTE!
Your GF will have no problems learning/driving stick on the echo. Clutch pedal is the lightest I've ever experienced. I started to teach my GF with only 500km on the odo... she only stalled it three times within the first half hour...and no burning!
