Can't speak for the Sedan, but the hatch has no problems at extra-legal speeds. Lowering the suspension only added to the stability when maneuvering the car...

Extremely stable, other than the usual crosswinds, nothing a little immediate countersteer won't solve.

Why do you ask? Thinking of switching? (haha j/king, plz keep your MR2, or give it to me )

And, I rather have a light car than a heavy one. Averaging 7.5 to 8.5L per 100km for me, with a/c on most of the time, and driving above speed limit most of the time also? Damn the hatch is the best bang for the buck (unless you count those GM employee-discounted POS )

I've got a stock RS and made it from Ottawa to Toronto in 3 hours and 45 minutes. No problems to report. Crosswinds pushed me around a bit, but the same happened in my old Beretta at the same speeds.
