00 Echo clutch ?

Hi, I have a 2000 Echo 2-dr 5-speed with 13400 miles, and almost every morning, the clutch will shudder while leaving a stop in first gear. It almost seems like there is moisture/condensation on the clutch plate, because after driving a bit, it will drive completely fine with no shudder. My question is: 1) is the Echo's clutch a dry or wet type of clutch? Like I said, it seems like there's either moisture on the clutch plate, or water in the fluid that burns off. 2) will changing the transmission fluid remedy this problem? With only 13400 miles, it didn't get driven much obvously before I bought it, so I'm wondering if there's water in the fluid. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I think it's as simple as not revving it enough while slipping the clutch (engaging the clutch) so the transmission is bogging the engine.
I hope that's what you're experiencing because my EchoHB does the same thing when not giving enough gas so it'll bog down the engine which creates that shudder feeling.
Otherwise, it might be the clutch plate and need to be checked. Surely most manual cars don't use wet type clutch, unless it's an automatic which is called the torque convertor. The manual clutch is a dry plate that's loaded with a spring that's pressed against the flywheel, with no fluid inside it (otherwise it won't grip and the clutch will REALLY be slipping).

Hello, the dealer told me that the pressure plates warp on the echos. I experience the same problem. I have yet to change it. I'm basically just waiting a little to change the clutch, most likely putting in a good aftermarket one to same going through the same ordeal.
