I love the gas mileage on the car. I drive a 5 speed RS 2004. I drive it quite hard and most of my mileage is city driving yet I average 13-15 km per liter. I used to have a 2000 4Runner & a 97 RAV4 (5sp)

Echo hatch RS (manual).
With OEM alloy wheels and tires (175/65/14), the best mileage I got was 5.9L/100KM.
With aftermarket wheels and tires (195/50/15), the best mileage I've been getting is 6.5L/100KM.

Worst mileage from either was about 8L/100KM

I used to drive a 1997 Nissan 240sx (auto). Mileage was about 12L/100KM was about the best I ever got.
Before that, I drove a 1996 Camry (4 cylinder, auto) and I got about 10L/100KM.

Fine cars, cheap to run, though I find them a little too cheaply made for the price now that I've had it for a year.

Gas mileage, great. I average around 8L/100km. I'm a complete leadfoot however, and drive serious stop and go daily.

Used to drive an Explorer. Used about 18L/100km. Supra comes in about 14L/100km.

SO what does it all mean?

14L/100KM/????

How about some nice US MPG (Miles Per Gallons!)

My Echo got 39.78MPG at it's last fill up. (driving is 30% city, 70% highway)

I could stretch it out to about 43MPG if I tried, maybe more if I drove longer highway trips.

This little car rocks. I'm thinking of buying another one.

ROFL. Just go look at Toyota.ca, and it will help you translate from L/KM to Imperial mpg, and then go to http://locost7.info/converter.php
and their you can translate it to US MPG.

If I am correct, 5.9L/100km is near 40 mpg US.
