echo owners....

why did you choose the echo over the cars in the same class? suzuki, pontiac etc?

from what i can see almost all them have the same mpg, price range and equally ugly...

just wondering what made you choose the echo over the others...

I like the fit & finish & the "Toyota" reliability factor. I actually drove a Yaris overseas (with a 1.3l engine) and overall I was very impressed. I Used to own only small cars (Daihatsu Charade, Fiat Uno, Nissan Micra) and the Echo beats them all in my opinion it just feels much more solid.

I picked the echo because I knew it had aftermarket support like a civic... The Echo is very popular car in Japan and made me want one because of all the parts I could get for it ...

Like a jacked up Geo Metro?!

Yes. It is you I'm laughing at. Have you even seen the hatch?

The Yaris had the best design, reliability, safety, fuel economy and gadgets in its class back in '00. It was European Car of the Year with the Engine of the Year for a reason. 68hp from 997ccm and still getting 17.5km/l combined for a non-diesel is still unmatched.

150000km and still running like new.

The strongest competitors back then was Fiat Punto, Volkswagen Lupo, Renault Clio and Peugeot 206.
