USA Seat Swap?

I have a 2001 Echo, and the seats hurt my back and my girlfriend's back. Does the US version of the echo share seat sizes with either the Corolla or the Camry? Has anyone performed such a swap?

Thanks!

Try seats from a scion xA or xB. They should bolt right in. The echo hatchbacks in Canada get them and they are a VAST improvement over the base echo seats.

the only problem with the XA and XB seats are they will make you sit alot higher than what your use too... You would need to un-weld the seat rails on the echo seats and weld them on to the XA or XB seats this should solve the problem with the hieght problem. The only real best way to do it is ... Import the Canadian seats over and bolt them in and forget about it ...

It's funny you should mention this. I want to replace the seats on my 03 echo as well. My plan is to go to pick-a-part ( pay to enter salvager in California, many locations). They have a set price on seats, about $39 I believe for Any bucket seat (gotta rip it out yourself). The admission is abouto $2-3, but on "half price day" they charge you $5 to get in and I can get the seat for 1/2 price ($19.50). I will have all the measurements of my echo, height, width, etc. Then I can just pick and choose. Probably will require rewelding the bottom part to the "new" seats. I am going for leather seats, anything that has the same specs.l Looking forward for 1/2 price day, 10/10/05.....
