Whatever you decide on, make sure it works with whatever generation ipod you have. The new ipods and 3G iphones use a different cable than the older ones; they will play music but they will not charge your ipod if it's a newer version. My Pioneer D3 works perfect with my 3rd Gen ipod, 1st gen mini, 1st gen nano and 1st gen video. But does not work with my iphone 3G or the current ipods; touch, classic, etc.
