2011 tC to have 6speed manual!!!!

Just looked on ScionDimension.com and they have it that the tC will have a 6 speed manual transmission!!!! Too little too late????

lol. It means nothing other than you'll be shifting more if the final gear is the same ratio.
The 05-10 tC was torquey enough that it didn't need a closer ratio 6spd. Tho cruising over 80mph for extended periods it coulda used a 6th gear overdrive. ...cruising over 80 is against the law tho so its really a moot point.

I haven't seen the actual specs on the new tC but my guess is that its 6spd is more marketing than anything.

^ That would be a 6th gear overdrive, meaning 5th is 1:1. For performance you'd want 6th to be 1:1 and all of the other gears to be shorter.
