also, you can change your base idle speed by using a screw on your throttlebody- it's right above the butterfly and you can just turn that so that it forces your idle higher at all times by physically keeping the TB plate open a slight bit more. I had to do this after I installed my supercharger and my iac couldn't compensate fast enough for the additional heat as well as the additional load on the engine from running the blower belt

N o pick and pull around here as far as I know....and you wouldn't believe the problem we had getting an iac at the local wreckers. Too much to go into here, but it was a nightmare. Many said they had it, but when we actually went to get it they didn't, or it was missing a part, or...they wouldn't let us look and the guy looking had no idea what he was looking for...it was always something. Managed to find one after driving around for hours, and put it on, but wasn't much better than the original. Hate expending that kind of work for nothing. Maybe I'll see if Standard Auto will send things out...thanks for the suggestion, also your other suggestion was a good one (changing base idle speed), I may do that too - thanks
