Well, you don't really need the 5EFHE ECU to make the motor run. You need it to get all 110 horses though. If you're running it with any other ECU apart from the FHE unit, you'll need to run everything from your original motor i.e. if you're using a 3EE ECU to operate then, you'd need the 3EE injectors, throttle body and, a 5EFE distributor modded with one of the 3E plugs and, you're good to go. Same thing if you had a 5EFE before and intend on going FHE. If you're using aftermarket headers (like Pacesetters)make sure that when you install your 02 sensor, it protrudes into the exhaust stream. If it doesn't, then the ECU won't get a reading and, the car'll run rich. Do NOT try to use the 5EFHE injectors if you do not have the ECU to go with it.
