84 Cressida tranny problem??
As I was going down the road today I heard what sounded like a snap and the transmission no longer functioned,no Forward or reverse.This is a 84 Cressida with auto and 120k miles on it.My initial thought was total blown tranny but I am hoping that is not the case.I am thinking either a band in the auto or a linkage problem.Right now you can shift thru the gears with the shifter and the motor running and get no response.Any info or thought is appreciated,I am not sure I want to put a new box in.Thanks in advance!If more info on tranny model is needed I can get it,not a nice way to spend a Sunday,getting towed home.
