Tranny is exactly the same. I have looked in the "new model year change" manual, and the only things that have changed, as far as I can remember are the,

1. Coolant - change over to reddish one, but no difference in life/performance, etc.

2. Seat lumbar power - Added a button for lumbar movement.

3. Tachometer - Redlines at 6100 (3MZ )instead of 6200 RPM. (1MZ)

4. Engine (maybe ECM also, but manual didn't say anything about ECM) .- obviously - Bored to 3.3, increase coolant flow path width within the block. Piston and conrod is a tad different also.

5. Added maintenance required lamp in the cluster.

You might wanna take it to the dealer and have the ECM reset. Probably the ECM for the tranny might be tuned differently.
