85 4runnr cooling

My 4runnr developed a running water sound after cooling system service. I have air trapped in the heater core. I have tried elevating the front end and running the engine in order to bleed the system. I have tried this several times and I cannot get the air out of the system. I do not overheat nor have I located any leaks. Suggestions

You do have the heat set for Hot when you do it, right?

Elevated front end and set to hot has made no difference at all.
Rather frustrating.

You can try disconnecting the in and out hoses to the heater core and with it on hot, try using a hose, force water trhrough the inlet line and wait until you have a good clean flow ( no air coming out of return line) and reconnect the lines. This might aid in purging the air.
