I'm trying to figure out where in the vehicle the SR5 map lights are mounted. From a quick inspection, it doesn't appear to mount in the same location as the OE dome light, nor near the rear view mirror (as the dome light does in a pickup from the same generation). Where else would it go?

Neither of mine have that style light, but i'd think it would go in the stock domelight location.

I finally managed to find a photo that shows its mounting location. It fits just aft of the rear view mirror mount. Hopefully the non-SR5 trucks still have the mounting hardware for the map light fixture.
