Neutral Safety Switch

Help! I have a 1986 22RE Rrunner with an automatic transmission. I am sure it is the neutral safety switch but my 4runner is downgrading.

I used to be able to just wiggle my shifter, or (while braking) move it to various places (PRND12) and back to park and it'll start right up. It's getting progressively worse. Moving the shifter no longer works. It seems like I can leave it for 5 minutes, or an hour, and it'll start just fine. I don't have the money to get it fixed, and every time I take it to the shop, the 4runner starts so the shop says it's fine...

HELP!

If you think it's the N-start sw, just bypass it and see what happens. It's mounted on the side of the trans where the shifter arm mounts. Should be a blk/white stripe and black wires.
