1984 4Runner starting problems

1984 4Runner, 22R w/carb. This morning I turned the key and no start. I jumped with cables and it started right up. Had to move the truck 5 hours later and same thing happen. No start, but started
right away with cables. I have now disconnected the battery and will reconnect in the morning and see if the battery still holds charge. Bad battery? Bad alternator? Bad regulator? What should I try and in what order? Thanks.

It's impossible to say since you haven't really done any troubleshooting other than disconnect the battery,
Let us know the results in the morning and than maybe we can give you some advice.

Checked my records. The battery turned six years old this summer. Had it tested at AutoZone and it was bad. Bought a new battery and I am back in business. Thanks for the fast reply.
