TTrucker60,

Ok I will throw a few questions at you.
When was the last time you had a tune up?
And what type of spark plugs were put in?
When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?
And when was the last time the Air filter was changed?

Well.. the plugs have not been changed in a long time except for one..The fuel filter has not been changed since I've had it (at least 5 years) The air filter was changed recently. It did pass smog and it does not use alot of oil or blow smoke. I'm not much of an expert but I was wondering if it could be the plug wires?? It runs well otherwise and has power......it's kind of running like this.00000000x000000000xx00000000000000x0000000000 0xx the x being the miss...Thanks for helping.

The first thing I would do is change the spark plugs. Use only Denso or NGK. Any other brand brings havoc to Toyota's. If you have an owners manual, the plug numbers for the Denso and NGK are in it. Use only those numbers and don't let your parts guy tell you he has a cross reference for a different plug or brand. You need to use the exact number that the book calls for. If your parts store does not have the right ones go to Toyota and get them. You only want to change the plugs once.
This would be my first recomendation.
Then change the fuel filter. Wires don't usually go bad on a regular basis. But if the miss persists then wires would lnot be out of the picture. But do one thing at a time. So as to eleminate that item.
