89 4runner gears

I just boughtthis 89 4runner and it has 33x12.5 tires with stock gears. The truck has an automatic transmission. Will this harm my truck? I am planning on upgrading the front and rear gears in a few weeks.

It won't hurt anything, but power and mpg will suffer.

I plan on going with 35" tires in the near future so I was told that I would need 5.29 gears. I also will be installing a 4-5" suspension lift next week. Will this be a good match?

5.29 gears would be the optimal gearing for 35-36" tires with a 4 cyl/5 spd combo. But you have an auto, which is typically geared one step lower, so 5.71's would be a better match.
