88 4 runner running issue

it' a 22re, man trans. it runs fine when i first start it then seems like it cuts back a cylinder, then a lil later cuts another till it shuts down.
right now its got no o2 sensor but doesn't seem like that should do it. i pulled the batt cables let it sit for about 10 mins and it ran fine for a day then right back to crap. any ideas?

psyco,

The first thing I would do is to fix the o2 sensor. Then see how it runs, then if it still does the same thing, then you can start troubleshooting. I'm sure you have a check engine light on at the moment?? You might want to check for codes to see what it is hitting
