still pouring white smoke and dripping coolant from exhaust
If the head and head gasket are new, and properly installed, that is a possibility.
It sounds like you had the problem before the head replacement, what did the gasket look like?
back in june i had the engine rebuilt both the head and bottom end,,,about 2 week i was driving ,,it didnt over heat ,,,it just started pouring white smoke out the exhaust,,,,so i thought the turbo seals,,,had it rebuilt,,put it on same issue ,,,called my mechanic,, he said sounds like a blown head gasket or cracked head,,when i pulled the head off the head did look bllown between number 1 and2 ,,,also when i the upper part of the intake off coolant was the lower intake on 1 and 2 ,,,but just to be sure i also replace the head ,,,my last thought is the lower might be cracked at the thermosate housing
i did pull the upper intake off today ,,,,no coolant in the lower intake,,,pulled the plugs all looked dry,if any has a email address i can show how much coolant was in the lower intake when i first started this ,,they were full of coolant ,,,,,,,after replacing the head ,,,no coolant in the intake ,,,,but still lots of white smoke from exhaust
