4Runner storage?

Hey,

Im going away for 3 months and keeping my 4Runner outside at a friends house (i tried to find a garage but couldn't). I'll probably throw a tarp or car cover over it as well but am curious if theres a few other things I should do to it before I leave to help prevent anything while I'm gone. Three months isn't too long, winter will be setting in soon so I'd like to prevent further rust etc. Any suggestions?

For 3 mos I wouldn't bother with anything other than disconnecting the battery (neg cable).
A real car cover is preferable to a tarp because it breathes, so moisture doesn't get trapped and promote rust.
