94 4runner Power Loss
I have a '94 4Runner with the 3.0v6. It will occasionally lose power as if someone pulled a plug wire. Usually when in a slight bog condition as if down shifting to pass, etc. It will also do it just driving straight down the road. Only way to stop it is to turn the key off and then back on and after a huge backfire, away it goes. (obviously dumping large amounts of raw fuel into exhaust) Originally thought it was an "open loop" situation but I have had the truck at the local dealer and there are no codes and no sensors testing bad. I'm wondering if it could be a bad fuel injector solenoid causing a injector to stick open?? Any other comments or thoughts??
