pickup 4runner

hey so i have some questions and need as much advise and help as possible. i have a 1982 frame and motor still carburated. with a 1990 4runner body on it. the back half has been bobbed so its still a closed cab with a rear window but now it has a 3ft bed. so what i need help on is my wireing harness shorted out and im going to do a whole new harness so i have all legit working lights and horn and everything works. so i need to know if its easy to use a 90 4runner harness and adapt it to the 82 motor and ecu and all that good stuff. or should i use a 82 harness and just hardwire everything else to differnt switches. let me know as soon as possible people.

The 22R has a crude emissions module, the 90 would have a 22RE with an EFI/emissions module that would be of no use and have way more than you need.
You might find some parts of the 90 harness that may be useful, but it's likely that the connectors changed between generations.

Ok so I should just get an older harness and just hard wire all the doors and windows and lights? Or switch to efi and a new ecu and all that good shit?
